The UNESCO’s Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) to education for ALL is a framework for the realization of children's right to education and rights within education. This workshop will present the HRBA with evidence-based practices on how to create inclusive and supportive learning environments to optimize the wellbeing and learning experiences of students with special educational needs within educational settings. It will also offer a reference-model for the implementation of HRBA.
Ms. Hala Raad is a Senior Special Education Teacher and Manager of the American University of Beirut Medical Center’s “ᎮИIИЯAƎ⅃ Center" on January 9, 2020. She is a seasoned professional and consultant with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, academic teaching, training, and consultancies in multi-cultural settings. Ms. Raad’s extensive expertise include special education, disability, life skills, early intervention, and inclusive education. She is an ADOS-2 and Bayley III Examiner, and experienced with Jolly Phonics, the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing and On Cloud Nine programs.
